Saw the movie today, finally! Honestly, I liked it. I read all the reviews, especially the critical one's and well maybe the people went in with way too many expectations. But for an Indian audience the movie is absolutely perfect, it's not over-the-top stuff. Priyanka Chopra does a fine job, but for me the real revelation was Mugdha Godse as Janet, not only did she look the part, she acted pretty well.
Worth a watch for sure, but don't expect something out of the world. But kudos to Madhur Bhandarkar for making a comeback after a dismal Traffic Signal. Also, in one of the critical reviews, there was a question raised as to why did Madhur Bhandarkar paint every male fashion designer as gay. Well, people just look around and you'll get your answer!

hmmm...its gud u likd the movie...at least some1 did! ;)
but frankly, for me, it ws jus too long, too predictable and too boring in the end...and yes...i did expect to get to kno somethn i dint kno b4...but the movie finally wasnt as much abt fashion as it ws abt a small-town girl who hs big dreams and who stumbles along the way but in the end, fulfills them...for tht matter, the girl cud hv been any1...an entrepreneur, a movie star, a sportswoman, a businesswoman...and v hv seen the underdog triumph umpteen times, most of the movies more inspiring and much better directed thn ths 1...thn y did bhandrakar hv to create such a fuss abt fashion?!!
neways...thts my pt of view...glad u likd it...bhandarkar wil b happy to know ;)
The ideal end for the movie should have been when Meghna returns home, lost.(Janet is married, though with her own new problems and everyone - including the audience-has forgotten the supermodel, Shonali).
